My life is a testament to the profound impact of maternal bonds, societal norms, and the quest for identity. In the adoption office of the 1980s, I witnessed the unrecognized strength of genetic bonds. High school, dismissive of women's education, became a backdrop for defying expectations.
Embracing isolation, I abandoned marital handicrafts for a journey of self-discovery through teaching, local history research, writing, and painting. The Creator's gift of creativity fueled my pursuit of knowledge, leading to an MA in retirement. As a tutor, I shared my passion for literacy, emphasizing the enduring importance of education.
My story is one of resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to finding identity against societal odds.
